Adjusted 30-Item Test Blueprint
Executive Summary
This 30-item blueprint covers Grade 6 Ratios & Proportional Relationships (6.RP.A) across seven sub-standards. Items are distributed to reflect the full content category: ratio concept and language, unit rate concept, ratio/rate reasoning, equivalent ratio tables and plotting, unit rate problems (pricing, speed), percent problems, and unit conversion via ratio reasoning. DOK levels range from 1 through 4, with 6 items at DOK 1, 12 at DOK 2, 6 at DOK 3, and 6 at DOK 4. Claim distribution approximates SBAC targets: ~57% Claim 1 (17 items), ~27% Claims 2 & 4 (8 items), and ~16% Claim 3 (5 items). All five Learnosity item types are represented, and item-type constraints by DOK level are strictly observed.
Standards & Cognitive Rigor Summary
| Standard | Description | Items | DOK Levels |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6.RP.A.1 | Understand the concept of a ratio and use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between two quantities. | 4 | DOK 1, DOK 2 |
| 6.RP.A.2 | Understand the concept of a unit rate a/b associated with a ratio a:b with b ≠ 0, and use rate language in the context of a ratio relationship. | 4 | DOK 1, DOK 2 |
| 6.RP.A.3 | Use ratio and rate reasoning to solve real-world and mathematical problems, e.g., by reasoning about tables of equivalent ratios, tape diagrams, double number line diagrams, or equations. | 3 | DOK 2, DOK 3, DOK 4 |
| 6.RP.A.3.a | Make tables of equivalent ratios relating quantities with whole-number measurements, find missing values in the tables, and plot the pairs of values on the coordinate plane. | 5 | DOK 1, DOK 2, DOK 3, DOK 4 |
| 6.RP.A.3.b | Solve unit rate problems including those involving unit pricing and constant speed. | 5 | DOK 2, DOK 3, DOK 4 |
| 6.RP.A.3.c | Find a percent of a quantity as a rate per 100; solve problems involving finding the whole, given a part and the percent. | 5 | DOK 1, DOK 2, DOK 3, DOK 4 |
| 6.RP.A.3.d | Use ratio reasoning to convert measurement units; manipulate and transform units appropriately when multiplying or dividing quantities. | 4 | DOK 2, DOK 3, DOK 4 |
